Default questions

Hi Mick, just a couple of questions:

1. Is this event an aarcmcc sanctioned event?
2. Are we using the lipo and motor lists from the aarcmcc web site (as at what date) ?
3. Are you allowed to trim inserts?

There has also been "talk" that there is a max hole size in the rim, I could not find anything on the aarcmcc web site listing the max size. What is it?

Thanks
John.

I'm new to this.... how does it all work with control tyres?

Do you purchase them before attending?
Do you purchase them at the track just before the meet?
Are they included in the entry cost?
Is there a max number of sets you are permitted to have?

Hi John,
A1. No it is not a AARCMCC sanctioned event.
A2. Seeing we run AARCMCC Technical rules we will use the current list.
A3. I'm about to send out the guidelines to all ORRCA Reps in regards to the rules of the control tyre for this year. At this stage the rules state NO trimming.

Funny how you hear this 'talk' when no official documents have been released yet? 5mm as I believe this is the IFMAR ruling?

I can see i'm going to love this thread by the time the event is finished..

For this event you supply your own tyres and wheels, our Major sponsor will have the tyres at very competitive price for all racers. Keep an eye out for the announcement.
The tyres are NOT included in the entry price.
You are allowed a maximum of 5 sets of the control tyre for each race day.
More in depth details will be released soon.

The current aarcmcc motor list is a year old for stock/superstock and 2 years old for mod. Also there is no mention of them following any other sanctioning bodys motor list in regards to offroad ep. Also their lipo list is over a year old and doesnt follow any other sanctioning body.

Get your club rep to speak with AARCMC and get things up to date.

Good luck though!

I would think though that the roar motor/lipo list will be used as the arrcmcc list would mean almost every runner is illegal I must say I am not a fan of the arrcmcc rules and believe roar or femca would be better to follow and much more current.

I am also curious as to why a control front has been specified for 4wd and not 2wd. I for one would like the 4wd front to be open as it is a good tuning tool to dial over steer out of the car.

what The Fuhrer said!

If you have queries about rules, formats lists speak with your club delegate.
Or even better put something in writing for that person to bring forward.
Talk on forums is nothing more than TALK!
