Dave If I dont see you at the track will the moog front plates work without the top plate, the part sandwiched tween bulkhead & chassis? My new moog chassis is 4mm instead of the stock 3mm & I liked the 808 one so much I wanna make one work with the TEKNORC conversion of the MBX5T cuz that thing is like cheating.

Butch, Thank you for your question regarding the bumpskid for the Mugen. The way that it is held to the chassis is by the sandwich between the bulkhead and the chassis. An option for you may be to try countersunk screws that have a bigger head on them and try to mount it like a rear skid plate. Hope this helps! See you at the track!

That would depend on how you define a day. A race day for me is 1/3 a gallon or a little more. So if you think of it that way how many days does a $60 set of tires or $35 gal of fuel or plugs or clutch bearings for those that run an alum clutchs or clutch springs or bearings last between maint or replacement. Its all relative & you hit the nail on the head some tracks get mean when not watered or maintained. If you only run on a moist maintained track they will last a lot longer. At $2.50 each the rear skids are more than a bargian even if you only get 3 full race days you've already burned through over a $100 in other consumables,& that tiny amount spent on a skid seemes not even noticable.

Go check the price of the stock bumper. If you think $8 is expensive for a bumper that is a real improvement over stock (who would've thunk it) that preserves a $70 chassis plate, just wait and see what the price becomes when people find out what a benefit they are. De could charge us more for these and most would gladly pay it.
I can't figure out how they cost only $8 given what molds cost to make. I say bravo to DE.

received my rear plates shipped to the UK about a week after i ordered them which is great. They fit like a glove and will hopefully do good job of protecting the chassis.
