Default Clark RC Park 2013 Outdoor Offroad Season

Clark RC Park 2013
Just getting the word out that we will be running a full race schedule this year and hope to see everyone out to have a great time.

The Track:
We will be starting the year with the layout we ended with in 2012. We only held a couple race days on that layout and we want to get racing as soon as we can this spring!

Classes:
Classes will depend on turnout but usually go as follows...
1/8 Nitro Buggy
1/8 Electric Buggy
1/8 Nitro Truggy
1/8 Electric Truggy
1/10 2WD Short Course
1/10 4x4 Short Course

We work very hard to get an nice compact racing surface and believe we have a track that both 1/10 and 1/8 scale classes can race on. That being said, bring out your 1/10 buggy and/or truck! Worst case we can race them with 2wd/4x4 SCT's.

More info:
Want to see pics of the track? Need directions? Wanna know more about the crazy guys who run this track? Check the website! www.clarkrcpark.com

Thanks for looking and I hope to see everyone out at the track for another great year!

Big Events!
We will be hosting a few big events this year that you will not want to miss and I will add them here as they are confirmed!

June 15th - Midwest Nitro Series - Round 2
July 27th - Midwest Electric Series - Round 3
August 3rd - The Summer Showdown
September 2nd - The Labor Day Challenge

We will also be running our Summer Points Series on the following dates

May 25th
June 22nd
July 20th
August 24th
September 28th

5 races 1 throw out!

Important information for MRT transponder users!
Due to a firmware upgrade in our decoder we will no longer be able to score the MRT transponders. I am sorry if you are affected by this. Mylaps (formally AMB) has a special going on now where you can trade in your old transponder for a new RC4 transponder. Here is the link http://www.mylaps.com/index.php/us_e...s/B2C/rc/shop2
Things you need to know if you go this route, the new Mylaps RC4 transponders will only work at tracks that are using the RC4 decoders, so if you go to different tracks be sure that they have the new decoders and or firmware. If you go to different tracks that use different decoders you nee to get the RC4 hybrid.
That all being said we will be able to count the same as last year. People with the AMBrc, RC4, RC4 Hybrid and the new RC4 transponders will all be OK! Again sorry to anyone that is affected by this but this change is going to industry wide and it is only a matter of time before all tracks will be running the new decoders.

What are your benefits to running this system Tim? I'm just curious.

The biggest one is being able to count the new rc4 transponders. For a limited time Mylaps is selling a "Hybrid RC4" transponder which can be counted on the older firmware but when the supply is out the only ones that will be available will be the RC4. The old firmware will not work for the RC4 transponders. This change is industry wide. As we are hosting a race in both the Midwest Nitro Series and Midwest Electric Series we wanted to be up to date.
Here is a link to the latest transponder from Mylaps http://www.mylaps.com/index.php/us_e...c4_transponder It does transmit more information but as of right now I don't know what it is going to show on our display as we have to get updated RC Scoring Pro software.

It makes sense to keep with the times. So these RC4 transponders are being made only by my laps? Is AMB no longer the leader in transponders?

So will my "old" 12 year old transponders continue to work?

The "old"red AMBrc transponders with the mounting holes molded in are fine. The only ones that will not work are the MRT brand transponders so if you ever raced here and you do not have a MRT you will be OK!

What about my 2wd Electric Truck Tim? Will that still work at your track?

I found this and thought it was a great way to understand it!

Green works, Red doesn't work.
