Hehe... good question... I got married 2 yrs ago and moved to a 2 bedroom apartment. One room is dedicated to these "toys". I would love to display all of them but most have to stay in their boxes until we finally get a house... Here's a sample pic of mixed R/C and die cast stuff in that room... notice the boxes on the right side... aside from the glass case, the room is actually filled with boxes...

I was surprised at how many people owned so many Tamiya vehicles.

Being a Tamiya owner is like being a drug addict...after your first sample you just need more and more and more and more.....I think I've owned somewhere around 20 different Tamiya cars over time. I'd be afraid to see MPH's list. I know he's well over 150 total cars.

Eeyan, you are my hero man!

Spot on, brother.

(Hi All... Is this Tamiya Anonymous??!
My name is Wills and I'm a convicted Tamiya Addict... )

Nobody knows what they put in the Shizouka plastic/rubber/alloy
but its more addictive than any other substance known to boys.

We have run many other brands eg Delta, Yokomo, Serpent, HPI
Associated, PB, Gepard, Kyosho/Cox, ABC Hobby, AYK, Marui...
but none are as addictive as the red-n-blue stars serious.

Have lost count of how many... in all honesty, I'd rather not know.
My 1st Tamiya arrived in 1978; today's list would look like:

TBe3SL... x3
TBe3... x2
TA04/S/R/PRO... x5? 6?
TA03F/R/FS/RS... x6? 8?
M03... 3 or 4
414M2 just 1
FF02... a couple
TL01... some
TB01... a few
M04
M02
M01
Clod
Jugg
XC... 3
GrpC... 5?
... etc

I too got married 2 yrs ago... and when TAMIYAs turns up coming up the aisle (to absolute bemusement of the pastor) y'know you're addicted beyond hope.

Here comes the ring...

Ah well, there's worst ways of blowing $$.

(no prizes for guessing where we went for honeymoon... no, not Japan - yet)

No fear - I wasn't driving, we had designated drivers hidden amongst the congregation & the trucks were hidden at the rear of the pews! (They only appeared when the pastor asked for the ring...)

My job was to make sure the trucks survived the journey - easy!
The mrs handmade the bears' costumes and the ring pillow.

Engagement was a similar do. Botanical Gardens next to a lake,
we were sitting on a bench feeding the swans when suddenly
out of nowhere appears a Pajero MTW (XC) bearing jewellery
and a LED sign in the windscreen flashing "MARRY" + "ME".

The same XC 3yrs later... not the same Lake though.

This project was slightly tougher... mainly as everything had to
be done in secret, especially that 100+ LED sign. The poor XC
carried 46 cells to power the LEDs & full head/tail lights,
all controlled by a 3rd servo.

To avoid accidental dunking in the LAKE... I had a hidden driver
who drove the car up to us, but I also had another TX with me
so I took over when he parked it near enough.

All captured on video... by a friend hidden in a nearby bush.

The thing with Tamiyas is that no matter who you are or where you live you have probably had a Tamiya at one point or another, they are Undoubtably the most popular RC Company in the world. Not to mention the Hobby shop reccomended it to me as a good first car, lol most people's first car is a Tamiya.

Have you guys no will (wont) power?

I am so restrained in comparison.

Tamiya MO1 Mini
Tamiya M01 Miata
Tamiya TA-03 Dave Jun
Tamiya F103 fulll race version
Tamiya TG10 all mods
There were a few other Tamiyas that had to move on to subsidise new toys.

Kyosho FW04 Viper
Kyosho V1S GT40

Corally F1
Corally C4.1
Corally Asassin
Corally SP12m

I think by a vigorous using up program, (I crash a lot), I am down to a little over 30 bodies in different styles.

I find its the extras that add up to have ll fully functional - speed controls, servos, receivers batteries etc etc.

Cheers
Peter
