Ok it's the start of a new year at KROMA and the as usual to begin things we have the 2012 Team Orion KROMA Cup on 17-19th of Feb 2012.

Classes are as follows:

• Mini VORTEC Rules
• 540 VORTEC Rules
• 21.5 VORTEC Rules
• 13.5 VORTEC Rules
• Open VORTEC Rules
• Nitro Tourer AARCMCC Rules
• Formula 1 - Demonstration class 2wd F1 chassis, F1 style body, open motor and tyres.

Control tyres are as follows:

• Mini - 2sets (Sweep 40 for the front and Sweep 33 for the rear)
• 21.5 will be allowed 2 set of tyres for the whole event
• 13.5 will be allowed 2 sets of tyres for the whole event
• Open will be allowed 3 sets of tyres for the whole event

NOTE: This year we will NOT be providing a marquee or pit tables/chairs, so please supply your own. It is reflected in the lower entry fee.

Is the tyre wear that much more this year compared to last year?

The allocation is exactly the same as last year for tourers.

Hi Tony , we couldnt make it last year but was 3 sets for mod ok ???

Would like some info from the mod crew if possible....we dont know sweeps

Hi Mark,

There was no Open class at last years KROMA Cup but at the Vics a couple of months later with the same tyres and at the same track and they were not an issue, some of the fastest times were in the finals.

I have just double checked the entry forms and for the KROMA Cup last year it was 1 set of tyres and for the Vics 2months after it was 2 Sets.

Did we change it in the meeting at the event?

Yes Tony, I remember all the 21.5 drivers had a meeting with you after qualifying and we all agreed on 1 more set for the finals at the KROMA cup last year.

I'm happy to go with whatever is decided though

That explains why all my doco still says 1 :-)

Ok will discuss it and will update, I don't think it will be a big issue. Worst case we just do it at the meeting. But will let everyone know shortly.

Ok, I have updated the tyres to so you can use up to 2 sets for 21.5turn.

Will update the entry form tommorow. If you want to fill one in in the mean time just enter 2 and add the extra cost etc.

I was considering entering this event until I realised the entire Vitorian Mod community will be at TITC at the same time. Not sure if you will get a class to form unless there is ample interstate interest.

Who's looking at travelling over for this?
