Default Trains and Lanes Off Road Racing Season to Begin 5/11 "Mothers Day Race", All Scales

ey everyone, yup its that time again, and trains and lanes is ready to start off a brand new race season, this year with a few new changes we hope to make things run smoother than ever. With the past race director now in college and into full scale midget racing, i will be taking over this year under his direction.

The schedule of starting events are as follows.

Saturday May 10th, track preparation, watering, reworking. All are welcomed to come out the day before to get things up and going. (Thanks to all who came out Today to help out with track work, those of you know who you are!)

Sunday May 11th, Practice from sun-up to approx 11 o'clock, Check in at 10:30 drivers meeting at 11:30 First round of qualifying 12:00pm.

Classes are as follows* note, we will be making all efforts to run 1/10th scale buggy and truck races. As well with all 8th scale classes Not limited to b44, b4, t4 etc. All it takes is approx 4 people to make a class. 19 turn and Mod

1/8th scale buggies
1/8th scale Truggies,
1/8th scale monster trucks
1/10th scale buggies 2wd
1/10th scale 4wd buggies
1/10th scale 2wd trucks nitro and electric.

any other classes not mentioned will be available as long as there are at least 4 people available to race for that class.

Point Series to follow as the season gets going.

Three questions:

1) What kind of tires work well at this track for Electric Trucks and 2WD electric buggies?

2) How long are the heats and mains for 1/8th scale buggy?

3) The follow-on to (2) is: Assuming the heats/main are not too long for my batteries, would there be any objection to letting an electric conversion run with the 1/8th scale buggies?

For My 2wd i use J concepts whole Shots or Taper Pins. The tracks been super soaked, so traction should be there. 1/8th scale A-main will be 10 min, B mains were going to be 5 min

Hum.. about the conversion, its still pretty new around here, no one that i know of has it, it would have to be discussed in the drivers meeting, i could mention it today and see what the response is.

hope to see you soon,

tim

Most popular last year was 1/8th buggy, honestly it was pretty much 98% 1/8th buggy, but me being really into 10th scale, wanted to push the fact that we will be/ the closest place to run 10th scale buggies within a half an hour of every location in the lehigh valley. Closer for Western NJ and Easton Pa. So far there seems to bee a decent amount of electric talk. So hopefully there can be a nice mix of both. As far as a website, i think someone was running a tripod site, but me being a web designer, im looking to have a new site up by Friday, in which i can talk to the drivers and put updates up, such as racing events, cancellations, etc.

hope to see you soon,

tim

Default T&L Today

Trains & Lanes Crew, Chris, Tim et al;
It was great running with you guys today. I'm glad I made the trip down from north Jersey. Nice track you got there too. I like the layout, especially the whoops, the double jump and the loooooong straightaway. Sweet! I'll definitely be back in 2 weeks if you guys are gonna be running again.
