When installing the Center Pulley Shaft shown in picture. Which side the little tab go on, motor or battery? Or does it even matter?

I have always put it on the motor side, and use a small screw driver to hold the tab in place while making the screw tight, you can leave the other screw out, or in loose to prevent tweak.

Tried dual-gear diffs on carpet a while back Adam, it wanted to keep steering coming out of the corner, but other than that, it felt ok.. was slower than a spool though.

Good luck
Thanks to all for all the advice. it appears that everyone is going towards gear diffs for MOD racing here in Australia. The extra power from the current brushless systems puts so much load on the ball diffs and normally need rebulid after 2 runs.

I will lift the rear of the car and measure how high it will lift before the rear wheels leave the ground using a ride height gauge. Usually try to keep it around 2mm. Same for the front.

Hi Adam
The car is just faster with gear diff compared to ball diff, You can adjust it more evenly due to different thickness of oil, and You dont have to spend time on rebuilding diffs. I have tested several times with spool or geardiff in front, and if You use thick oil, its always faster and easier to drive with geardiff. With uPro You have to use some very thick grease something like 700000 - 1000000cst, but with Yokomo, Spec-r or similar big diffs, use 300000 as the internal gearration in the diff is different.

I hope this helped.

Default U pro gear diff

I just bought ProTon U Pro gear diff. Going to run it in the rear, on medium traction asphalt. Should I do anything to it before putting it in or should I put it in and just run it as it is? Would be greatfull for any help

You shouldn't have any issues running it straight out of the package. It is preassembled with 20k oil which works fine in the back.
