New to Onroad
Ok me and a couple of buddies just started renting out the local skating rink on Wed nights so we can run and race our on road cars. Well everybody knows how slick the floors are on a skating rink. I have a questions. When I run my car (RedCat with a MMP 7700KV set up) the rear end is real squirly. I can not get it to hold in the corners. I have a set of soft HPI tires and I am running some 7.2 NImh batteries. It pushes real bad in the corners also. Any help will be nice.

Yea I figured that on the motor size but I got it cheap and that is the one I put in it. I was running the Traxxas brushless system out of my slash but put it back in the slash and put the MMP and 7700 kv system in my car. I am using in the car right now until I get the funds to buy the 2650 kv motor for the slash. It is pretty wicked with the MMP system in it.

As far as traction, i doubt they will let you do this.
Beltran Raceway had Slurried Concrete as they surface. The only way for them to get traction(and i felt it was too much) was paint the surface with Black latex paint, then spray VHT. Because it is slurry coated, there isn't anything for the tires to grab, so the VHT had to be caked on heavily.

do they regularly clean the surface with anything? after a few sessions some rubber my build up and traction will come up.
otherwise, sugar water does amazing things for traction. i remember one time about 10 years ago running a touring car on polished concrete that had been treated with sugar water. i could traction roll with 22mm width tires. if this is outdoors and there is a storm drain, you could just splash a few buckets of water to wash away the sugar when you are done.

But seriously, I have a T4 with a 4600 MM system in it. And it is OVERKILL!!! Try a 13.5 or something. Once you master that, try a faster motor.
