Hrm....lets think about this. Why doesn't ROAR add fighting to the rules to generate more fans? Is that really your question? I would hope you would be able to handle the answer to that one on your own buddy. As for Indy having more fans than NASCAR, your right, INDY is a world wide sport as for NASCAR it is pure American. As far as fan base and money generated through its marketability in the United States, my vote would have to be with NASCAR. NEXTEL seems to have faith in NASCAR, and their as you "say low class behavior". Racing is part of this country and the people involved are passionate about what they are doing, thats why times can get heated and it can sometimes lead to confrontations in the pit. This type of realness is what attracts peoples interest. So you keep laughing outloud, I am outmatched by your wit, and sophistication. You sir are a better human being than myself. The bottom line is this, if something out there causes the spark needed to make RC racing more popular things will only become better for all racers. What happend last weekend has happend, and it can't be taken back. If you all are so worried about the negative affects of this, then why don't we just try to make the best of the situtation. Exploit it for the benifit of all.
Embrace the Unexpected..
You can agree with me or not, we each have the right to our own opinion and this is mine.
Sincerely,
Geoff Young

Another reason NASCAR and other high end racing has fights is because they are all making over a million dollars a year. We are not. Most of us are not making any money doing it, only spending it. We are doing it for the pure enjoyment of it. So, HAVE FUN. Leave the fighting to the guys that get paid to do that.

Actually that statement is the farthest from correct. Lots of the guys at the track are doing it for a living and for very little so it matters more. So the tension is still there, and I've seen F1, NASCAR, MX, and every other sport where they make more in a day than some drivers do in a year fight.

If we thought everything through then all of the internet would stop, there would be no mistakes, and the world would end. People are human, get it, so we have emotion that sometimes cancells "rational thought"

People who say "we're just racing toy cars" are either just doing it as a hobby, or say that when they aren't doing it that well and need to make themselves feel better. Competition is competition. The guys playing poker probably don't say "it's just cards, or the people playing pool for a living "just balls," or the porn stars "who are just playing with themselves."

People support their families with these "little toys" and there's more weight to that than internet posters want to think about.

Woah wait a second. If you read the memo Mike abstained from any part of the decision made. I think it is unfair to throw that comment at him. Wether you have feelings about the issue one way or the other, that ain't right, wether you like Mike or Not.
under the circumstances, it is too coincidental that there have been other problems in the past, and nothing happened. NOW, the big event, the big dogs, a BIG situation............ and there's a memo

i'm sorry but that just doesn't fly! but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinions and thoughts on the matter.

Derek, I did say "most of us." I know most of the big names were at the race, I also know quite a few people that were there are not associated with any sort of sponsorship. I was not saying that nobody's livelyhood was at stake. Maybe people need to think about that before they make decisions. Hmm, if I get into a fight with this guy, what is my employer going to think about it? If I can't go to a race because I got suspended because of something that I did, how am I going to make money? I was not there. I do not know the whole story, probably not even half of it. I am just giving my opinions on if this were to happen anywhere I am racing. I think it really sucks that it did happen. I have always found Robbie to be very laid back and very helpful.

I should have some pictures, I know my dad was taking some, and I walked around the track and took a bunch of random ones. Lemme check them out and I will find a way to get them to you.
