after putting in the sirio power clutch, yesterday i went down the track to see how it performs comparing to the previous clutch system.

its been a week since last i ran the motor. (i did not put any afterun oil or whatever) , put the car on the starter box, crank it once, twice and then it kick in for awhile and stall. increase the idle , crank it and it kick in again, and let it warm up . place the car onto the track ,run a few laps, i open the high needle ( 3 minutes) , run another few laps .
as for the clutch performance i can feel a big difference esp. more 'punch' exiting the corner. for the top speed sure looks fast but i can say how fast coz i was alone with no other car to spare with. anyway from the sound it was freaking fast

anyway yesterday i went to a bigger track to practice and test a few setups. and it feels more aggresive with this power clutch. and yes this time there were few other cars around to compete, there was even a S960 . there was much power and grunts at the bottom and also when the 2nd speed kicks in it was totally insane this engine and the power clutch combo do really really made me excited . still can be fine tune can't wait to race it as soon as possible. after finished the day , i dissamble the engine . the top of piston was a bit wet and shiny and light brown colour. the glow plug was sligtly on the dry side. iwas using 16% o'donnel . there were no abrasion inside the back plate.

hi all,

need some advice, how much fuel do i need to break in this engine?

i've just break this engine in for 1.25 liter on a break in bench with fan, nova c6 plug, temp was 55-60'C.lean down HSN 3/4 turn on my last 0.25 liter, still very tight about 3/4 length on the way TDC with metal stretching sound. this scares me a lot

Depends on the breakin, I suppose. I would order the new con rod and replace it, then keep turning the needle to the right

just an update:
this engine is fast!! a-lot of fuel went in for the breaking in. 1.5L.. but its all worth it. used a nova #6 plug and HEC pipe. nice bottom and mid end, slightly smooth on the upper end. went on the rich side but still last about 4mins/tank. highly recommended to all on a low budget and a need for speed

Hey guys, Im looking for a Pipe set for this engine. If anyone knows where I can get it the cheapest, please let me know.

It doesnt have to be GRP brand, it can be Ninja. Or if someone has a used one without any dents or bents and at a a good price, let me know please.

i just got the promo kit..

for what % nitro is the engine shimed at out of the box?

i removed the head to have a look at the head button.. there was one silver shim and one copper shim.. anybody knows the thicknesses of these?

there's an extra copper shim with the kit.. any body knows the thickness of this as well?

thanks in advance....

Silver shim is .3 & copper is usually .1 or .2 get you some digital calibers and measure them that's the best way..

thanks ivan...

I'm assuming the engine is shimmed for 16% out of the box.

since i run 20% i added the copper shim that came with the kit and hopefully that would be enough..

Your welcome, with the silver shim by it self it is 16% with .1 copper shim 20% seem to be already shim for 20%...to be safe measure the copper shim...
