Default Much More/Ceckpoint Brushless

Have you allready noticed the Brushless System from Much More and Checpoint?
They worked together! It's a prototype! Seen by Shonisuke Adachi.

So it's a SpeedPassion with a MuchMore/Checkpoint sticker on it, right?

Is this a sensored/sensorless motor? I noticed the sensor wire is missing in action in the pic.

MuchMore is the Checkpoint importer of their brushed motors.....much like Yokomo was for Reedy.....

It looks like it has Hall sensors, but the person chose not to run them. Sensored motors can be run in sensorless mode, generally, if the ESC supports it. I believe the Novak and LRP are the only ESC's that run exclusively with Hall sensors. The Tekin and Castle seem to run exclusively without them. The GM and Quark (I think) can do it either way, depending on your preference. GM says their ESC will use a hybrid mode, where it will used the Hall sensors at low RPM where they provide an apparent advantage, and then disengaged them at higher RPM. But, all the drivers at the LRP that I saw with that prototype GM ESC were running without the sensors at all, so apparently they've made up their mind. Yet a sensored ESC setup won the whole thing.

Other than GM, LRP, SpeedPassion and Novak, I can't figure out who makes their own motors. The SP on the back of the motor in this picture makes me think it's an OEM SpeedPassion.

Default Now this will be interesting

Considering I am running everything HPI/Hot Bodies, will be very nice to see King Hara running Checkpoint brushless. That will make me at least try something non-Novak

I have seen the ESC in Adachis car closely and this looks exactly the same as the Quark Plasma, in every detail. OK itīs not a Quark the heatsink is different colour.
If SP means Speed Passion than they do a lot of OEM. Adachis motors looked a lot like the new GM motors just slightly different cooling holes.

Did it say GM on the back? They tag theirs in a similar way to SP with a GM. Orion put TOP on theirs, but I think it's somewhat based on a SpeedPassion. I haven't seen any details on how much is changed.

I think not. The Plasma looks very similar to the GM in some areas. But the Plasma is slightly smaller and have an USB connector, the GM not.

The much more motors with "motoreal" look absolutely disgusting, so does the speedo. They'll be rebranded almost surely but with an extra 30% stuck on

The newest Speed Passion motors have the larger holes now as the GM.
Curious thing I read today the coming Checkpoint ESC actually is a blue one. Hmm, could this be real?
