Smyka - Thats great to hear. What is the Spur/Pinion, ratio of car, and tires size you use in mm? Thanks, Joe

Quantum - With the old 19t the best comm size is bewteen .292-.285 Our new Q-Brush will be awesome in that motor too. With red springs on both the positive and negative. You just need to gear this motor up like 3 or 4 teeth from what we now gear the 07 Version. Right around 5.7 final drive ratio.

Default Lipo Runtime...

I know this isn't an exact science...

But one average what kind of runtime would you expect to have running the Carbon 3200 and/or a Power Edition 4800 on aspalt w/ a Novak 4.5R Brushless system.

You are right, it isn't exact The best way to explain it is that with the 3200, you will get aobut the same or a little more runtime than a team quality IB4200. The 4800 will give about 30% more.

Awesome Rick.

I'm not looking to run my car forever but just trying to get an idea if I run 1 heat how much runtime I have left. That way I can decide if I need to recharge it between rounds or be able to run it 2 heats before recharging.

Runtime is so dependent on driving style and application that it is hard to know if you will need to recharge between races until you actually test it. In most cases, you will have to recharge the 3200. The 4800 will go multiple heats with stock or 19T. Modified may be pushing it although I did all the testing with brushed motors. Brushless itself may give enough improvement in runtime to allow two heats before recharging .

JOE it was a 55.5 mm tire 40 pinion 100 spur gear and a 2.5 final drive(cyclone) for a track like vegas (if you go ) i would probally say around 1.18 to 1.20

What do you think the more reasonably priced battery is? the 3200 or the 4800. Do I need the extra punch of the 4800 or is it not worth it?
Thanks Rick,
Michael

You will get about the same power from each. Run time is where the 4800 will shine. If you can afford the 4800, and the local rules allow it, I think it is the better choice.

Joe- you can take any rollout in inches and multiply by 25.4 to get the mm rollout. A 1.20 rollout is 30.48 mm. That way you don't have to compare tire sizes and spurs to match everything up.
