Default oddonnel or byrons?

Ok. I have been running byrons fuel for the past couple of gallons. Well, the place i would buy it at is becoming to far away and i just don't have the time to drive out there. THere is a hobby shop close by that has nitrotane, blue thunder, oddonnel and traxxas fuel. I started out with the traxxas fuel, ditched it pretty quick and went to byrons which my vspec loved and would obviously be my preference.

I think oddonnel is 12% synthetic while byrons is castor (I think) anyway, i will be running my vspec with a losi re11 pipe.

is oddonnel a good race fuel? Or should i go with nitrotane? I have never used either.

Or is byrons so much better i should just bite the bullet and make a small road trip? (60 miles)

I know fuel is a personal preference so i guess i would like some opinions

also, with a new pipe (went from 086 ti re11) and new fuel, I know i will have to retune. How much would that kind of change throw my tune off? I had it running perfect.

Is the Byron 20 or 30%, and is it Pro Driver, Race, or RTR? And is the Nitrotane and Odonnell Race or Sport/RTR and what percentage? I have ran all 3 (byron 30 pro driver, nitrotane 20 race, and odonnell 20 race) and would say Byron is best, Nitrotane is second, and Odonnel is third.

why dont you just order what you've been using ? If you want to support the closest shop then call them up and ask them to get it for you. No reason to keep swapping fuels.

If I was you I would just order it. It comes to about $35 dollars a gallon if you order a case of 4 plus shipping.

most places charge $30 to ship a case of fuel which is to much. although i love byrons i would be using odonnell ,or buy a bunch of byrons on your next 60 mile journey i have the same problem as you and so far ive been making the trip for byrons but i probably wouldnt if i could get odonnell.

byrons race fuel 30 percent. I will bite the bullet and go for the byrons. I really like the way my car ran on it.

if oddonnel was equal quality i would just go get that.

Thats a very tough decision to make. They have both been very good. Out here in FL, the Byron's seems to be the favorite though of the two.

I dont run either anymore & make a 100+ mile drive to get what I do use.but of the 2 byrons has treated me better than OD fuel.

ALAN D has the right of it though.

I've used a couple (Maxy's, OD, Sidewinder) And of all the best so far has been a local fuel here in PR called Blue Heaven Furios nitro blend & Byron's Race2000 Gen2
I do mean the best for my liking, others may have a diff opinion

O'Donnell all the way!!!!

I absolutely love odonnell fuel. Best fuel I have ever run. It burns clean and cool. Engines last forever, and dont build up carbon. It uses part castor and part synthetic for the best of both worlds. Awesome fuel. I do run 20% though. The majority of guys run 30%. I stick with 20% because I see no advantage to 30%. It would also cost me as much as $10 a gallon more than 20%. Anyway, I like odonnell fuels.

Good luck tuning the LSN and idle with O'Donnell, it is very toxic IMO. I ran both ODonnell 20% race and Nitrotane 20% race and Nitrotane definitly wasn't as toxic and had cooler temps. O'Donnell had good power though.
