Tyre additives

This is a bit of a mute point that I'm not very clear on. Firstly, what advantages does running tyre additives on rubber tyres give???
Also do you have to clean the tyres before you apply it, and what kind do you recommend (is the Team Orion Street Juice stuff ok or not??????)

Cheers for your help guys

i use the TQ mod formula for foam and rubber...gives traction off the go with a practice lap or so beforehand...Paragon is not to be used in many race facilities because of the odor and chemicals i think...i used to use the TQ BLu and it worked great...Jack the Gripper is pretty good also but i liked it more on foam then on rubber tires....if i clean my tires i usually do it with just my motor cleaner....most people use Lighter fluid...hope this helps

Simple green or some concentrate cleaner diluted works good.(with water), maybe add some cola to make it sticky.

WD40 does works but you have to leave it on for quite a while. Also I've found traction can drop off during the run if it hasn't been applied for long enough.
