When does the "ROAR" spec Jammin SCRT10 come out......the version with the correct overall width and length. A set of usable wheels would be cool too. Money in hand

The Jammin SCRT has missed these three standards out of the box. Its overall posted dimensions are 21 in long and 10.5 inch in width. The tire/wheel combo isn't even close from what I can tell.

I found them. I just checked and mine with the Blitz body, wheels and tires meets the Overall dimensions.


But this rule is a problem
8.10.12.3 2 wheel rear drive with geared or ball differential only.

Obviously these rules were drafted w/ the 2wd SC trucks in mind.

I'm sure the 4wd trucks will have rules drafted soon.

Also, w/ standard sized 2.2/3.0 wheels and any of the bodies that work on the SC10, Blitz, Slash, etc..., the Jammin meets the minimum requirements.

After browsing though a number for forums, these are a few of the tidbits that I came up with concerning ROAR and SC trucks. Sounds like things are evolving.

Everyone better check the ROAR rules for their classes. There are 2 Short Course classes offered on RC Signup. Be aware that the SC Spec class means either 27T Stock or 17.5 BL, 6-cell NiMh or 2S LiPo, and any SC tire, but tire can't be siped. In other words, a RTR SC10 or Stock Slash would actually have to run in the Mod class, not Spec. You'd have to put 17T in it to run Spec.

I called the Texas ROAR race director he says Corr Open class is exhibitional and might not have some typical roar rules apply such as motors and car size. But proper ROAR approved batteries will be a must in the open class for safety.

ROAR rules are 27T Stock or 17.5 BL, 6 cell NiMH or 2S LiPo, and any SC tire, but must not be siped. Of course, if you run LiPo they'll have to be ROAR approved/legal batteries for the Spec class. A stock Slash or RTR SC10 don't meet the specs, and would have to be in the Open SC class for this race.

Just got off the phone with Jeremy at Mikes and Steve with ROAR and:

For any class that there is enough people they will offer a non-ROAR exhibition / demo class that you can run what ever, motors, car spec, tires etc. This Exhibition class will not count towards ROAR standings though but act as a separate class. Exhibition or Not you still have to get ROAR 1-time or annual membership for insurance purposes with ROAR. Exhibition or Regular racing DOES require hard case ROAR approved packs in ALL class with the exception of 1/8 Buggy/Truggy Exibition classes only, since at the moment they acknowledge that there are not alot of "legal" 4s batteries out there. So, Bring your soft packs and run 1/8 exhibition guys! ALL racers must use Lipo charging sacks (both roar and mikes want this).

CORR open is exhibition /demo too so run what you brung tire, motor, car wise but yes like i said above that class needs ROAR approved hardcases since it is Roar event and there are tones of 2s approved packs on the market.

ROAR rules will apply for any class that ROAR has rules for in their rule book, so check them out at: http://www.roarracing.com/rules.php Stock CORR rules do apply so look them up and make sure your legal or your running in CORR open exhibition/demo class with all the other frankenstein cars.

Spec class is just what Mike's called it on RC Signup. ROAR rules for the short course class are stock or 17.5 BL, 2S or 6 cell, and any unmodified SC tire. The Open class is a demo class so that guys with modded trucks have a class to run in.

the classes I read were described as 1/10th corr stock and 1/10th corr open, neither of which seems to map directly to the spec in ROAR SCT provisional class.


Short Course Stock Truck will be run per the current ROAR Provisional rules as posted on the ROAR website. This means ROAR approved 27t brushed or 17.5 brushless motors only. Also I'm getting a lot of lipo battery questions. Some of you are buying batteries with verbage or sale pitches like " meets ROAR specs" or "built to ROAR specifications" only to find out that your packs are not listed on the approval list and not legal. Once again you need to make sure your packs appear on the approval list by part number or they will be considered illegal. Also, some of you need to be aware of ROAR Lipo Max Charge rule 8.3.2.5.1.

2s Lipo Max charge voltage 8.4v plus/minus .04v
4s Lipo Max charge voltage 16.8 plus/minus .04v

This I know but why should I have to spend nearly 85 dollars above the cost of the $270 kit to make it ROAR legal. I can see replacing tires but wheels and a body too. I truely believe this to be the 4X4 SCT to have right now but they sure ain't makin in easy.

after much debate this is what all our local tracks run, and its perfect no problems. this roar bs would have killed the class before it even got started! "F" roar they are trying to ruin rc racing.

I agree that the ROAR rules are BS. Keep it simple as Slaytanic stated.
