Werks.

Something like a 7 port Werks or Nova/Fusion would be fastest, but not really competitive with the 3-4 port OS and FX's, if you're talking racing. If I'm completely ignoring fuel economy and looking to gear up for outright speed, I'll put a OS .28XZ in every time.

Top driver selections (assuming that most select a sponsor that they feel provides the best engine vs. the company that simply offers the best $$$)

thats doesnt tell the whole truth but it wouldnt change much i guess.
we need to take into account that on that pie chart OS-Maxima-Bullit-LRP are all made by OS. Os in that case would be closer to 42% ish.
and as such...there are others like reds-rcconcept-picco?, werks-orion-SH?, nova-ultimate etc.

The trackstar guys might have been Hobbyking sponsored. No idea if the engine is good or not, maybe it is. Or maybe it's another OS with someone else's cooling head.

Racers did that all the time with servos. Sponsored by JR, Savox, or Spektrum garbage? Run a Hitec and swap the badge stickers. Then again in the Worlds radio gear thread, there's "Turkey" listed as someones radio gear. So someone was having fun with the sign in sheets again.

I wouldn't buy anything but tires and radios, just because the pro's are running them.

except for the new Orion engine. I have never seem one run good for long. I'd still run lot of other engines before Orion.
