Battery location...
OK -- I think by now, everyone is aware of the 2 standard and one "trick" battery locations for the TC3:
1) Forward
2) Back
3) "Split" (3fwd, 3back, with spacer in the center)...
Well.... I've been thinking (dangerous thing)...
How about putting 1/2 spacer at front, 1/2 spacer at rear, and turn the battery hold-down bar upside-down (so the flat side is down)... This would put the battery about 1/10" higher (the cells would line up with the "ribs" rather than the "slots" in the chassis), which could be bad, but it would let you CENTER a standard construction 6-cell pack (same weight balance F/R as a split pack)...
Would this be worth a try?

I run a 48 pitch 75 tooth spur. I've geared my motors any where from 25T to 29T depending on track size and motor I use. I would start at a 27T for a pinion and go up or down from there.

Weird what some of you guys come up with

Just ask the boss for an old beater car and let one rip. If sponsor pays who cares what car
TP: is the 4 degree blocks good for a banked carpet TC track? I want to slow down my steering responce as I am too twitchie. Not use to carpet.
