Default Which should I keep Losi 8 2.0 or XRAY 808 2010

Ok, I've got a Losi 8 2.0 ( couple years old, but has brand new clutch, brakes, jp3 pipe, but I blew the motor) Just picked up brand new 2010 XRAY 808 competely built by some guy with brand new os vspec modified motor in it. He just likes to build the kits and never runs them. (Actually, just bought the car for the motor) From reading some of the posts on the XRAY 808 thread, there seems to be some issues around the drivetrain of this car?
I could put the motor into my Losi and sell off the XRAY , or keep the XRAY and sell the Losi as ARTR , just needs a motor.
Need help to make up my mind.

I own a 808 10 Spec have had the 09 before. The drivetrain issues.. is a very confusing one tbh. As only some people seem to have issues, I love my Xray and love the 10 spec. With the slightly longer chassis over the 09 it is far more consistent and stable to drive. Which lap to lap= faster than the 09 which was faster over 1 lap. But easier to make mistakes with, I have not run Losi.. but the parts quality of the Xray's is the best out there.. Only ever replaced 1 spur gear in over 9 months use. That's all.. fantastic cars tbh.. and in my view don't get enough credit. As Xray don't have a massive budget to get the top racers in like the likes of AE Losi Ect..

I'm not that good of a driver, so maybe the XRAY will stand up better to my bash racing.

Personally i think the losi is a tad more forgiving. Mainly due to the "slop" that people refer to. Also losi parts are extremely cheap on ebay (1/2-1/3 price of lhs). Either one will suit you just fine, but personally i'd go with the losi.

The Xray will be the better car in the long run.
Parts cost a little more, but last a lot longer. I just went through my truggy and replaced almost everything. After a full year of racing and only 1 broken hub, my control arms had far less slop than my friends Losi after 3 months and half the racing I did.

This buggy over that buggy is like splitting hairs most times. I'd look at it this way... If you need the cash.. dump the xray. If you don't need cash.. dump the losi.

Sell both and keep motor, servos etc and buy a brand new kit of your choice.
