They're about 2mm too long....put a wheelbase shim on the nut side and they're perfect.

Default NEW 2 CASTER CAR

Hi all

we have a new distributer in the UK for Caster products called

Anwser-rc and as he is a good friend of mine and want the business to do well i have decided to get rid of my rc8 / mugen and Nitrotek/team Vtx cars and run the pro version of each car including the fusion and get some feedback of each model for uk tracks

And i wondered what advice you can give me about this car I dont really like the E clip pins so are you guys running Mugen Captured one or a different manufacturer

I also think the Radio box i kind of cheesy so does the hobbytech/ mugen one fit

I have already got the caster big bores for the car
( Front one's seem kind of short but definatly worth a try )

I read somewhere that there are new towers and ackerman plates are available for the car are they coming std on the new pro cars or are these a aditional part

as you can tell i am a out and out racer and just picked up a tyre sponsorship so i need to perform between now and the end of the season when my contract expires

Ant help would be greatly appreciated

ps i am pitman on the caster forums

Most people can and do run the mugen captured pins until the Caster ones are available again. They fit perfect. Also the radio box I believe fits, seen some pics of them on casters but not up close. The new towers should come included in the new kits but not installed so you get the original towers and the new ones. The ackerman plates right now are available separetely here in the US not sure about where you are though. The Front shock I think are short too but just leave a couple threads showing on the shock rod end and use the center hole on tower when you install them and they work fine.

He is from the UK. So what he gets might be different. I know that from a design standpoint, the fusion sport has the final shock towers and ackerman plate. Of course, the pro kit will have the same design, just swiss 7075 instead of t6 aluminum.

Just so everyone knows......

Default Cheers

thanks guys

I will have a word with the uk distributer tomorrow and post back here regarding what comes with the kit

I think there are 3-4 different types of ackerman plate so has anyone any more info regarding the handling or steering input with the different plates

Not sure of the spring rates but there are 3 different springs, a Red one is supposed to be offered. I think you would have to buy them in sets of 2.

Which pins are they? I might have them in stock. I still have a ton of OCM stuff that is not listed on my site. If you ever do not see anything, just PM me and ask. I will find out for you.

It's no big deal, the stock pins have been working just fine. If you happen to come across a set let me know.

Alabama Border Wars Points Series/Finals

Well...the series is over now. I managed to keep a podium spot in the series with a 3rd place finish. My Caster ZX-1R was 1 of only 5 buggies to complete the entire 1 hr Pro buggy finals race. No breakage of any kind at all.

My buggy was fast...alot faster than I could drive it.

I'd like to thank all of the companies that have helped me out this year...without the support I've recieved from all of you I wouldn't be able to race as much as I do. Thanks alot.
