Forgive the noobness - The shock position in the middle of the chassis. What does that control? i tried to move it as long as as far forward per someones tip but the chassis looks odd when done like that.

To use the long positions you must lengthen the shock to retain proper rear pod droop. I highly recommend the Encore 4-40 shock shaft adaptor

http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/modules.p...prodID=7719154

Not only does it allow you to lengthen the shock but also use standard ball cups.

Thanks for the info but what does lengthening the shock do for handling? I tried to look this up but havent found anything.

Typically the longer center shock helps the car produce more on-power traction, and settles the car a little bit if the track is bumpy. (from my experience, anyways)

Anyone have any suspension dynamics to explain this? I would think the more flat the shock is the softer it would be. So by more on power traction i assume you mean rear traction? If so can we agree this is due to more weight transfer on acceleration? I would assume this effect would diminish after the weight was fully transferred. Anyone care to chime in?

Hi Guys, another question.

Where can I lower ride height on the rear of the car? Is it done via the center shock placement?

Rearmost ride height is adjusted by moving axle height. There are 4 screws that retain it (Two on each side), loosen them and slide the axle up/down to set correct ride height.

So I seem to be losing left turn angle on my car. Worked for my two quals before king pins broke after replacing and checking for binding I cant find where it may be. which leaves me with either servo or servo saver.

Which Servo saver does everyone use? Right now I'm using the
Kimbrough Servo Saver where I think the issue might be. Anyone have any recommendations?

I've been playing with the B5-style square pack in the car for the past few weeks. The car was roughly a full second per lap faster on asphalt (parking lot sprayed with grape soda), and marginally faster on grey carpet. On asphalt the car was way more planted and also had more steering. On carpet the car was fast, but a bit inconsistent. With the extra weight, the car was slower to transition on carpet. I need to try going up on my side springs to see if I can wake the car back up on carpet. Definitely the way to go on medium traction asphalt, though.

Interesting front setup. Got a 3d printer I see. Good job. It looks like a different hinge pin mount also. did you add reactive?
