Pmr - Reedy 766 brushes with a + cut in the positive brush and a vertical cut in the negative brush. With reedy copperhead springs bent to 180*. Barry Baker posted this setup for the quad-mag a while back. Also you have to gear them high to get power out of them.

cut + on positive brush u mean the contact face cut a + sign and - on negative

I don't like the verticle cut too much. It stops the transfer of power across the face of the bursh making the whole brush more like two smaller brushes. Its ok for getting a little more torque, but not the best way. If you want to slice across the entire face of the brush, then do a diagonal from corner to corner like this..../.... the diagonal cut allows the power to still travel across the entire face of the brush because the cut is in the corner and this will reduce surface area as well. A diagonal cut is more efficient than a verticle. As far as a + cut, I've never heard of that, but if Barry used it, it must work....Hmmm, I'll have to try that sometime.

where's that cobalt motor from Reedy?
#1640
Reedy dumped the cobalt concept, too costly to make.
rcsabah - Basically two thin slots, one vert and one horiz. I've never used it I'm just posting what barry did. He called them polarity brushes(+ and -).
mafiaracers - I think the motor that won 19t at the reedy race had that setup on it, so it can't be too bad.

Does anyone know who I can contact about having motor can lables made. I am in the process of starting a new motor tuning company and am having dificulties finding companies who make custom can lables. I'm not looking for dyno print out lables but the actual label that Ican have my company name printed on.
