ran my first big onroad IC meet the weekend just gone. and am supa impressed with my 2013 .12Xtype ran perfect through all 6 quali runs and put me 10th after qualifying. but for some reason the bottom was supa lean for the final, I had changed clutch shoe and plug before the race. but go it tuned up and ran 4th after being about 3 or 4 laps down. really happy with my choice in the picco line of engines

Thanks Billy.. I just saw a Sonic first hand.. one thing I'm curious about is.. the Sonic has a balanced crankshaft while the EM Xtype doesn't.. seems like Sonic and REDs has more work done on their engines than Picco themselves. I'm really confuse as in,why wouldn't Picco do that on their engines? Or do they know something we don't?

Balanced
Tq, please post a picture of both cranks side by side and let us know what you are speaking of. While timing numbers might be different, all else is the same. At least that's my knowledge.
Btw, what's your location?

Hi Kev,
I have taken some screenshots of both engine's crankshaft on respective websites.
Sonic's crankshaft. Notice the two weights on the shaft.
And here's Picco's EM X-type.
Note the difference? Is it necessary to balance a crankshaft? I mean for .12 at least. I do know Nova do balance their crankshafts. So why Picco doesn't balance their EM X-types then?
Btw Kev, I'm located in Singapore/Malaysia.
