Hi,

I was just curious, do the current crop of 3 hole rims fit on the RM01? I know the offset may be incorrect, but could you bolt a prism rim onto either of the drive hubs?

As i don't know anything about the correct tire choice, is it possible for someone to post all the kind of hardness of the tires from other brands then tamiya in the correct order?
This could help me a lot in making the correct choice of tires.

Another question, is it worthed to spend another $150 to make it as a full option to be able to compete the other high end 1/12 cars?

So far i've only driven the car for testing it with a 380 motor and a 2 cell 1/18th lipo, no competition.

There are so many tire choices avalable, it would be difficult to list them all

Tamiya Foams come in 2 types for front and rear, they are unique compounds, so only moderate comparisons can be made to other tires
i.e.
Kit=Low rubber content (similar to Black front Yellow rear)
Option=Hi rubber content (similar to Double Pink front, Pink rear)

Full option kit is nice, it will improve durability significantly
Laptime consistency will improve
More options for tuning

But more to the point
Competing against other high-end cars will depend on skill, and tuning

Do the colors have a different compound between other brands or are they the same?

Is it also normal that the servo when mounted with the servo mounts it is slightly of the center of the chassis, meaning that one of the steering turnbuckles is longer then the other side. I have a futaba S9550 servo.

Servo should be centered in chassis
One link longer than the other will affect the steering left to right, you always want steering links to have the same length if possible

Foam tire color range should be more or less the same between most brands, there are exceptions, like Parma front black, is 35 instead of 40 like Jaco front black

I find the variance is more from batch to batch, than from mfg to mfg

My guess is that it's better to stick to one brand of tires then mixing, to eliminate different compounds and spending extra money on other brands.

About the overall width of the car with other brand of tires, will it be the same width as the other high end 1/12 cars or is there a difference in offset between the wheels from several brands?

Aside from Tamiya, Jaco/Parma rear wheels are the only brands I would recommend, as they have the most offset, so in order to keep front track, and rear track width closer, this is the best solution imo

The front track width is somewhat fixed due to kingpin location, yes you can space out the wheels if using "inch" axles, but the geometry will be odd in this configuration

Nearly every 12th scale rear wheel have different offsets, not sure why this is the case, and it can be problematic when using different brands

I noticed that there are 2 different kind of flange ball bearings of the 1/8 x 5/16 size bearings -> width 3/16 or 9/64. (i could be wrong)
Wich one is the correct one?
(Sorry for all those stupid questions)
