Jammin X1 - so close yet so far

Josh - There's a lot involved to make the buggy into the truck...I haven't heard of proposed conversion kit, because it would be like basically buying a whole new kit anyway.
The Jammin' truck isn't just a longer chassis and axle extenders!

Hi Aaron, I bought one of the very first prototype/production kits about a year ago now. I only run the 1/8th scale at title meets as i usually run Stadium trucks. I am getting huge amounts of wear in centre diff outdrives and centre universals. Is this normal with all X1's or is just the material they used in the early production kits? If not is there some sort of uni boots that you might be able to use to stop the wear. Thanks for your help.

arghh - It'd be hard to gather results from around the world and have one person do it...but if you want to start a thread here at RCTech, go ahead!
zacr - I've noticed that the last bunch of outdrives have lasted longer and that means the universals will last longer. Try a new set and see if that fixes everything.

1/8 Clutch
Can I use carbon clutch shoes in a clutch bell that I have previously run aluminum shoes in???? I am trying to use up all my old stuff before winter.

Just clean up the inside of the bell and she should be sweet

You will need to spin the clutch bell on a drill and sand out the melted aluminum from the bell. I went as far as using a dremel with the pink stone and the clutch bell in a drill and got the surface very smooth. If you leave the buildup from the aluminum shoes in the bell your carbon shoes will wear very fast.

looks good Son. How do you like the way the car handles?

Right now turning is great handling is good
only bad thing is its nose diving alot
changed my oil set up along with rebuilding the diffs
5-7-2 and new oil all around
i hope this helps it from nose diving
i also swapped out the quad cradocks and went with some Thunder Tiger discs....smooth and very nice breaking now!!!!

I just bought myself an X1-CR. I am new to Nitro offroad.
The instruction manual does not show where to lubricate.
Is this because lubrication is not recommended?
I have built many Tamiya EP buggies and their suspension parts always require lubrication.

No lubin' needed!
supralative - I can almost guarantee the nose-diving thing is either the jump or the driver...haha. Don't tune your car for the jumps, tune it for the rest of the track. My car nose-dives a lot too if I don't pay attention to how I'm hitting the jumps.
Your ride height has a big effect on how the car jumps.

Well, this thread wouldn't be a bad place to start!
