Hi,

have a noob question.

How does roll out affect the car?

I know that in touring car, higher final drive ratio value would give more acceleration and lower final drive ratio value would result in higher top speed.

So is it the same for roll out?

A larger rollout will make the car accelerate slower to a higher top speed.

The track I'm running at is medium size with a straight of around 40m-50m and has lots of cornering.

I know it's hard to give any suggestion without looking at the track. But from the above, what would be a good roll out to start with. I'm using a 4.5T motor.

By the way, I think I saw a posting about the front arms having V1 and V2. Anyone can post a picture to show the different?

I hope there is no new car. This is the best 12th scale IMO.

Hi Larry

I agree , switched last winter from BMI CH12 and have moved my personally lap time from 9,7 to 9,23 on the local track

What difference do you have from the stock car

I personally use the BMI steering block and gold spring all around

Only optional parts that we've been running on "our" cars (mine is a straight up copy of Larry's -- thx again!)
1- asc 10l/12l offset steering blocks
2- ti stub axles
3- ti tie rods for upper front arm
4- shoe goo for steering servo mount
5- top black side springs

All of this is documented on my wiki (in my Sig..)

Hi Mike

Sounds great. What about the optional engine mount ???? Have tried it once , but had a big crash , and only thing happened , was that the mount was bended. From there on , I have used the stock one , but with alu bearing holder and the carbon fiber plate between the motor mount and the other site.

Thanks
Michael

We just run the stock stuff on the pod. In 2 years I have broken 1 plastic pod piece and bent 0 aluminum pieces on all the pods I have used. Which has been quite a few in 1/12 scale and wgt.

At big races we dont even run any shims under the plastic pieces. Tires are too small.

What's the spring in front and side ? Are they the standard one from TOP or from AE ?
