I think it is the "best layout ever".

I believe the current thought was/is to use the same layout with some minor tweaks, just like last year. That could always change of course.

I had lots of fun finding new spots to hit the wall.
Nash,
I have a better idea I'll send you a check for $20 not to come, maybe you can use that money to run at your local track.

As of right now the layout will stay the same, But we are considering trying to massage the sweeper a bit

I think you guys should put a poll up and see what everyone thinks should be done. I would like to see a new layout.

I don't have an issue with the layout at all, more about keepin the spectators safe when someone decides to launch their car off the sweeper. I personally had no issue with the sweeper but did see a few mod cars launch after cutting it a little too tight and runnning up on the corner. I say keep it the same and run the room a little warmer so traction comes up.

Is it time to race yet?

Thumbs up

Howzabout we go back to CS27s as the handout rubber tire... they are much better suited for a spec handout carpet race than the RP30s (which in my opinion are better suited to asphault racing).

Jamie I know what you guys go through setting up the track. but I bet you could use the parts you have to put something else in that space. Scotty and you and the crew put on a top race. I applaud you guys for taking the effort to glue the track to the wood, that is amazing. but it's just weird that the layout for a major race, where you guys are going MANY extra steps to make it the must be at race, is not going to change. I remember Scotty the first year giving me a hard time about taking pictures before the track was done because he wanted everybody to be suprised when they first came in the room wednesday morning and to check out the layout. second year we knew the layout out and every track that could set their local track up to mimic the IIC layout and had an advantage if only a minor one. just trying to figure out the logic.

and as for the $20 it wouldn't do me any good as I don't pay entree fees at my local track. I announce the races 3 days a week and give the track owner $200 a month so he can make rent and I can have a place to play.

Kewl layout!

About a year ago, Ruben Benitez of Stockton Raceway had a terrific layout that included a diagonal straight across the middle of the track. That was my fav.
