Exclamation Associated B44 front vibrations

I've been having trouble finding out why the front of my b44 is causing so much racket. Whenever I turn and apply the gas (or in this case, electricity), the front starts shaking alot. At first I thought it was the CVA joints, but after I replaced those, it only helped it a little. I don't just want to jump into buying a new diff, or even cleaning it up a little, before I know what the real problem is. Has anyone else had this problem?

P.S. I will post a link for a video soon of this crazy vibration.

Your tires could be out of balance. If not balanced, it will shake the car apart.

How would I balance them?

After looking at the video, it appears that the wheels are turning to far left and right. This would put too much strain on the front CVA's. Use your steering EPA to take some throw out of steering. turn your wheels and apply some power to wear it vibrates the slowly apply some negative EPA adjustment until it stops. Apply the same amount of EPA adjustment to the other side so they are equal.

Balancing is a good practice for all tires. Makes the car smoother and vibration free which can affect the life of parts and bearings.

This is a good video to watch...

I use this to balance my tires.

And use this putty...

Alright, that is a good suggestion. I was thinking about doing that, but didn't want to give up any turning radius... Oh well! Still, if anyone else has any suggestions, that would be awesome!

You will wear out the CVAs in no time if you don't.

When I watched your video, the first thing to mind was the cv's. I agree with Jmuck69, Limit your steering travel. When I had my b44 and b44.1 every time I tried adding more steering throw it would do the same thing. But out of balanced wheels would cause a vibration, but no to the extent of what you are experiencing. Especially when you crank the steering and the wheel starts to shake or jerk. That's the cv binding up. So I would adjust the steering, if it persists, get a good wheel balancer like the one Losi sells. Stay away from the duratrax one. your not going to get a true balance like you can with the losi.
I hope this helps for you.

I don't think it's the balance of the wheels/tires. Plus I don't want to be spending anymore on tires and stuff. I tried adjusting the EPA, but the vibrations only stop after I turn it down to under 30%, which only allows me to turn the car around if I have a 10 foot turn. Any help on that?

Do you have the factory setting on droop? Too much droop could cause the same issues as too much left/right steering.

What is the droop? Also, could it be the little arm on the side, that connects it to the servo? If you want, I can post another close up video...

I've got way more steering in my 44 than you show in the video. I would look for some worn out or broken front end parts IMO. Something is wrong other than epa IMO...

I was thinking it could also be the pins in the actual CVA's are slightly working there way out and hitting the arm. Check the shiny pins in the axle are flush all the way around.
