Tim great to hear from you again. Hope all is well. Do you still do the go cart thing with your son?

Oh sorry Tim I'm on my buddies handle from the hobbyshop as I'm too lazy to switch over to mine (wyd).

Hi WYD:

No we had to give the Karting up as I had health problems. things got really bad for about 2 years and then I got better. my son moved on the professional gaming for a couple of years and now he is in college. I have started racing again. I am running VTA. after building about 5 VTA cars I thought why not and picked up a TC5 and started racing it a couple weeks ago.
work was ok until this April when they decided I had too much time in and laided me off for good. so now I'm out looking for work around Mi..... so far no luck. That's Delphi for ya!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway thats everything (sorta) since we last talked.

Thanks

Tim

Hey all... Sorry for no responses, its been a mad summer for the company and the family, super busy with lots of sports and other things that the summer brings!!

Thanks to Tim and Kahuna for helping keep the forum straight once in awhile.. I will try to visit more often and answer more questions.. If I dont get right back to you on the forum, shoot me an email to damon @ diggitydesigns .com (no spaces) since I answer all those emails more than 10 times a day thats the fastest and easiest way to get with me..

Seems like the XLR8 V1 kit is getting quite popular again, not surprising, and the new XLR8 V2 kit seems to be getting just as much appreciation!! I will be wheeling my V2 kit this winter and trying out new setups etc...

One question I see lately is "will the XLR8 drive shaft work on a stock TC3", the answer is NO... It is slightly longer and designed specificly for the XLR8 kits!!

Damon

Hi, I'm interested in the V2 kit since I run LIPO, but didn't notice a parts list for spares. Does the kist use alot of the original parts?

Yes, most of the spare parts are the same as the V1 kit..

Yeah man... I cant wait to tear it up this winter with the new V2 kit.. the setup is perfect for lipo and brushless racing and you can get the balance perfect without much to no modifications... Since brushless has been getting so huge and with the old mith of shaft cars having "torgue steer" that issue is almost nill nowdays.. I know for outdoors the shaft cars still are at the top and I hope to bring it back for indoors

Hey guys,

I want to thank Damon for all his awesome products. Got my Caster F8T looking great and a XLR8 kit on the way to play with indoors this winter.

My question is do the CF shock towers for the Academy SBV2 fit the original SBV1? I have the Pro Carbon model of the V1, but won't be satisfied until it's ALL CF!!! I know there are some compatible parts shared between V1 and V2, so here's hoping the shock towers are included.

No the stock arms are too long, some guys have modified them to work but it makes the kit wider than 190mm.

Im almost 100% sure that the towers for the SBV2 will fit the SBV1, you might want to ask in the Academy forum just to be positive.

No problem on the Truggy, wish I could have kept it but no where to run it
