superslow, tips: If you aren't sweating, you aren't filing hard enough.

gonzo, I don't have one to try this with, but I think the best way to file the battery slots perfectly is to have a lone subC cell to drop into the slots. I used an assembled pack, and it's very hard to tell which slot isn't filed enough and which are too much. And as the instruction manual says, keep filing until the bottom of the cell is level or just above the bottom of the chassis.

Better than trying to fill it with glue to fit.

XRAY was thinking of holding 007 kits back for cnc milling of the battery slots but it would have pushed the release date back.... too close to the release date of the new T2K08 chassis so they desided just ship them as is.

where is my conversion kit???

Get one of these sanding drums from Home Depot, put it in the drill, you'll be done in 10 min.

Naw I just use this
http://www.amazon.com/IRWIN-12411-Sp...1?ie=UTF8&s=hi
on my drill press with a preset depth. Works perfect and if you are looking for a little lower you can set the drill press with 10* tilt...
Just make sure you setup the drill press perfect first, then if you have one use a vacumme to not get all that CF dust in your nose...
Do all the strat sections first then just a 3/4 inch drill bit in the corners.
Looks pimp...
When my EU T2'007 get here I will post pics...

You guys have it all wrong. The method all of us uncool guys here at RC America use is described by the pics below.

Use one of the large grinding discs (a little smaller than a sub-C cell) to rough out the slots, then take an engraving tool (linear cutting bit) to smooth the slots and round the ends to prevent them from cutting in the ends of the cells.

Less than 10 minutes...

Haha, I've only built two so far, mine and John's.

Umm, yours, that's a good question. I think we had to sell it to Mike's, or any of our other fine XRay/HUDY retailers!

You guys have it all wrong... just buy a LiPo pack which fit and you don't have to worry about the filing

BTW what is the diameter of that grinding disc?
