Electric 1/8th scale buggies need to run with other E-buggies, due to not needing to pit. I would have no fair way of adding Electric buggies to the Nitro class. Some Nitros need to pit at 6 mins, some have much longer run times for fuel. And let's face it, fueling/pitting, is a big part of race strategy.

Remember, we only need three of a class to run them.
+1 on that!!!

By the sounds of things there will be plenty for a class.

Hey man,
if there arnt enough electrics to run a class, places like hobby hut, and barnstormers runs them with the nitros and simple makes them come in to pit. they make then come to a complete stop and sit for a few secounds.

i rmemeber one race this fall at barnstormers, one guy came in for his pit and rolled right though, didnt stop.
They black flagged him, made him come in and sit untill the guy on the loud speaker said he could go LOL held him for like another 6 secounds lol.

just an idea

Down here in the southeast, all 1/10 stadium trucks in Protruck must come in the pits. Didnt matter if it were gas or electric. 1/8 scale buggy is the same way.

I seen a 8ight 2.0 converted over and TQ'ed and smoked the entire sportsman class in 1/8 buggy. Sometimes alot of noise and smoke doesnt mean its fast.

Personally I'm for Robs decision to keep them separated. The electric buggies are still to unreliable for me, the everchanging technology IMO has not reached a safe reliable point yet. From all that I've read/seen there are still problems with all of the main driveline components, ie RX's melting, batteries swelling etc. Plus the question of what and how many batteries to run. They are also a bit faster than their Nitro counterparts and considerabily quicker accelerating. So my vote is to class them up.

BTW Mugen is coming out with a MBX6E in May! I will have one, I just hope by that time companies have there electronics straightened out.

Default E buggy

Remember guys, we only need three for a class.

By the sounds of it, there will be enough for a class. In the event of only 2 E-buggies being there, they will run in the Sportsman class. I must stick with my decision.

Welcome to the forums Mike McGhee and Rob Martin, I look forward to meeting you guys and racing with you as well.

Brad?, you get those hair dryers ready yet?
