Default best pipe for 1/10 touring

ive recently finished assembling my serpent 720 and will be running draked engine... we are at 5500 feet elevation and plan on using 30 byrons or odonell fuel. straight away is 140 feet and semi technical track...

wondering what the best pipe/manifold kit is for these conditions...

paper work with the engine says to use stock pipe and manifold that came with kit but serpents dont come with either...

thanks for the input and links to parts also

John

I believe that the Drake engine is an OFF-ROAD engine, and most 1/10 off-road kits does come with an exhaust system.

I am not aware that Drake engine is also available for on road, anyway According to your signature, you are a distributor for Team Serpent?

if you are not going to help with the pipe and manifold set that i can recommend to my racers i would appreciate you leaving my thread
First of all, its Serpent America. Second, Im pretty sure Serpent America wont open an account for a distributor unless it can show proof of a store. Third, its not your thread. This is a public forum, threads dont belong to anyone, and all the members can post anywhere.

I think a Drake Engine is somewhat similar to STS. I would suggest using these pipes: Skyline VRPlus or the Picco 2607. Someone else might have more information though.

PS: Lemme know how much this thread costs

Take care....

That was emotionally scarring to say the least. There I was, all excited about the thought of a serpent distributor somewhat nearby. Then, like a recently adopted orphan, I was brutally re orphaned when I found out the distibutor is an a$$.
Try rb pipe/manifold combo Mr. Serpent distributor. Those are usually very efficient.

Default Drake Platinum

There is a Drake Platinum onroad engine and it's Picco based. They are basically Red Dots with some extra things done to them(Drake spec?). I know people who've ran them and they are fast, Murnan use to mod these also.

As for pipes picco 2607, sirio 2611 as stated above. Novarossi 2630 works very good and Skyline VR12 plus. I've ran all of these on my Piccos and they all work.

there is no such thing as the best pipe each motor calls for a different pipe

But in general yo will want a long pipe, long header, and low gearing that should give you what you are looking for and if the motor you are talking about is picco based then you wont have go to low on the gearing because piccos all ready have alot of bottomend.
