Default Losi 8ight

I have an "old" Losi 8ight 1.0 roller laying around, and I like the GT class of racing. I want to put a lipo set up in it and run GT. Has anyone done this? What parts should I get to make it work. Any suggestions would be a huge help. Thx.

Try the off-road section in this forum, they do a lot of electric buggy conversions there.

After you figure that out you'll need the body mounts from the dirt oval Losi and you'll be rockin.

Go to post #2534, there is a photo of a converted 8?
I looked into it, but since I couldn't figure out how to get a 2-speed in it and the cost of all the needed parts, I put my old 8T up for sale. You basicaly need to convert it into a L8.

good luck!

Thats Jeffrey Lin of Picco JLR fame who was driving that OFNA DM-1. I think its cool that they thought of putting a camera inside the car. Don't think they expected the "back flip" to happen while they were filming.

Is this class going BL electric like 1/8th buggy?

I don't think so, I have not seen any electric powered GT cars show up at our outdoor track on raceday. For those regions that have a large enough indoor tracks this would be a good option.
We see a small percentage of nitro racers able to commit to a raceday.

Here is that 1/8 GT footage from homestead. Had to throw some of the pit comedy in there too. Enjoy
