Shakedown was with a 17.5 boost. The 5.5T is coming in for Saturday's race

The TF-2 was 1996 and the TF-3 was 1998 with the TF-3 Type R‘99 coming out in…1999. I couldn’t find an exact date for the TF-2 R when I was restoring some I picked up last year but I love the idea of a vintage class to run them in. There’s no Iconic series on my side of the pond.

Default RS4 Rally

Great to see like minded racers running the vintage stuff.

I was given this car ( HPI RS4 Rally) more than 10 years ago. It sat in a box 'till COVID lockdown boredom kicked in that Spring.

it got me back into racing after a 20 year break.

I race it in VTA & USGT on low-grip carpet and asphalt.

Like many have shared - it is a wonderful feeling to put laps on modern TC cars! 😁

No news? Has the car exploded in the straight line?

My daughter won A1 and A2 with her Xray T4. Ran the TB04 in A3 and was leading but the shorty battery died after 10 laps. Will try again this Saturday with a new battery.

Good job.

How were the Tamiya's lap times in comparison?

Thank you,
Paul

Unfortunately was not able to compare lap times. But probably still slower than the Xray due to lack of tuning sessions. Our race today was cancelled, will have to wait 2 weeks for next opportunity for the TB04.
Had an opening race for a permanent indoor rally track in a Mall yesterday, the same TA05 we used for 21.5T blinky I converted to rally. Gambled with a front one-way, which did not pay off. Daughter (in middle between guys with grey shirts) finished 2nd

Gotta brag a little. The RS4 Rally at this past July at the Carribean Invitational at BRCC - Barceloneta, PR If you get a chance to race there - do it. What a beautiful facility

Had a chance to work on my OVA T4 2022 edition. Working on the chassis to make it LCG

Just a small OVA T4 update, but making progress on the overall look that I’m aiming for.

This is just a rough setup, I’ll make things all pretty and even once I’m completed.
