Went to this track after being away from RC for 6-8 months, What an awesome setup! We went to practice Friday night and it was super chill. Track was well maintained through the night and the facility is spotless. Hobby shop is huge! School doesn't allow me to race anymore but hopefully more people start to show up on practice nights. If other tracks (read: owners) left a sour taste in your mouth in the past don't let that get in the way of your hobby! Hobby action is super legit and the owner is awesome.

If someone is using diesel to win and their tires last 2 heats for a club race they are doing it wrong . . .

three drivers who raced DC from tucson when i asked this past saturday, told me saucing had to be done outside. so i would imagine it was known, accepted, and policy/rules put inplace by HA

Yes, saucing is allowed outside. I am not sure diesel is the preferred sauce but if you use diesel I would expect your tires to die fast. You don't have to sauce, and if you choose to I would think sticky kicks or something else would not be quite as aggressive. For club racing, you would have to like burning money to use diesel imho.

Not super crowded, 12 on the stand at a time and only had to wait a few times.
On another note, I think the saucing sucks. If Hobby Action doesn't want it in there then why can't people respect that? I think the place is awesome, but I don't think I'll enter races if people are out in their truck getting high on fumes to win club races.

A lot of people do really silly things including cheating all for the glory of winning toy car races.

It just doesn't make sense that they don't do anything about it. Either open it up and allow it, or disallow it. Right now the "bro rules" are taking over just like they did at w3 and srs. Where are those tracks now?

Default 17.5 buggy rules...

Hey ya'll!!! I am almost ready to come out and race with ya'll and have a few questions... I have never raced stock 17.5 buggy class so would like to know the class rules? Such as if the esc needs to be on blinky, motor timing, etc. I only have electrons front and rear in super soft (m4 I think). Will those be ok? I am trying to race as inexpensively as possible. I do have a set of wheels, so I potentially could buy a set of tires at the track. Also, for a Transponder I have a two-wire MyLaps. Is that compatible with the timing system?

I think those are all my questions so far. Look forward to meeting you all at the track and re-meet old SRS (the outdoor SRS) friends!

Bryan
