Kyosho Ultima RB5 Thread

Another Lid inquiry… My daughter has the SP2 and my LHS has the Finnisher lid for the RB5 WC only and no one is sure of it fits.
Ideally I'd love to get the older ILLUZION – KYOSHO RB5 - SCOOPLESS BODY body but again, I don't know if it will fit.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I had an RB5 SP2 and then went to a Team C 02 evo and the bodies fit pretty nicely from one to the other.

Anyone else enjoying the new ReRe RB5 yet? Was quite surprised they released it - well as the Dirtmaster anyway!
Only major changes to the original:
- Some of the screws are self tappers (but I've swapped to M3 with no issues)
- Plastic dampers
- Gear diff
- New body and wing
- Hex front wheels from the later RB5
Plastics do feel a little different - but still very strong (a bit like the Ultima 2019 ReRe plastics). There's a few minor changes as well (steering not fully ballraced for example, turnbuckles are different etc)
Haven't taken mine to the track yet, but I think it's going to be great on grass and lower traction tracks

Show a picture or it, or it never happened. LOL....

Some pics I took during the build. Have added mostly titanium screws + aluminium spacers under the ball studs + aluminium RF / RR suspension mounts. Was quite pleased to get some Avid HD rear axles and a set of Avid hexes as well.

May i check with you.
If we run this buggy on astro/carpet track, will the idler gear spoil easily ?

I've not had an issue with 6.5/7.5 motors on EOS carpet or on astro stripping the gears.

There shouldn't be any issues.

Has anyone tried the RB7 gullwing arms on the RB5 / Dirtmaster?
