We had really strong winds last night, but no fire close to us.
Some places had winds over 100 MPH !!!

Dice K still isn't that good. He's a good back of the rotation guy but I don't think he's a #1 or 2 guy. Not worth $100 for sure. Makes me glad the sox outbid the rangers for him.

The wind is insane around here. Ryan and I were in Hemet yesterday and luckly the wind did not pick up until around 4 but it was aweful. The dust and dirt was almost unbearable. Everyone had to take down there EZ ups early. On the ride home we saw the glow of the Irvine fire. Does not look good for the fire fighters with all these huge fires around southern california and these strong winds for a couple more days they will be stretched thin and have there hands full!

I wondered about you guys out in the desert, and then the
drive home! I don't like wind, terrifies me, too much like
tornados!!!!!!! My home town in Ohio was wiped out by one
of those!!!!!!!!! Glad you're home safe.

It was a little light. 13 heats but 12 per heat so not too bad. Again we got super lucky with the weather. Glad I did not make the "A" though. We got to leave just as the wind got really bad!

They are evacuating the Orange County jail right now!
Due to the Irvine fire.
Oh no, just heard Poway being evacuated???? Sister and
niece is there. Anybody have any info on that?????

Finally got through to my sister. My niece and her

family evacuated last night. My sister has car packed,

evacuated too. Other niece, the fire is close and they

are on voluntary evacuation. The fire is in a heavily populated

area, and it's not easy to get out.

Glad you got through to them. Hope there homes are spared. These fires are as bad as they get!

They are saying the Malibu was started with a downed power line. The Irvine ones they are suspecting arson. Not sure about the San Diego fires or the Ontario Fire.

I almost lost my sister in the last fire, they were evacuating
and the fire jumped the freeway, and engulfed the cars.
Three cars drove through the fire, only 2 reached the other
side. My sister's car got through.
There is a fire in Saugus now too.

Yes Judi, there are mandatory evacuations in the North County area, Rancho Bernardo, Penasquitos, Santa Fe. 15 south has been closed from Escondido south bound and North bound from about Poway. I work in Escondido, its a graveyard here at the dealership, all the other dealers here are already closed, and we're getting out of here in just a few minutes. Its bad down here. Half of our employees either couldnt make it in or are evacuating.

I'm hoping I can get home to Temecula, there is fire in Fallbrook/Rainbow that could force a closer on the 15 north. We'll see soon!
