With the Hudy ECS shafts, what is the difference between the 2mm pin, and the regular. I notice both types available online. If the pins are different sizes, which pin is 2mm? Is it the pin into the differential, or the pins in the joints. I ask because I would like to replace 1 50mm ECS driveshaft bone, as mine has a small bend, and slightly binds at full lock. So how do I know which ones I have, and which one I need to buy to replace?
These are the two parts for reference:

The 2mm pin version was supposed to be a stronger alternative. I have personally found that it just makes them break in a different location.

Protoform mazdaspeed6 lightweight is the most common go-to shell for carpet. Other shells can work well too, in certain conditions, depending on driving style and setup, but speed6 lw is what most people use, the majority of the time.
Just answering because it's pretty late in England, so Skiddins might not see your question until tomorrow and I kind of doubt he'll have a vastly different response than this anyway.

The clips can be a touch finicky at times, but once they are on there you don't need to remove, I've run nearly a season on one set without rebuild...just grease from the outside.
If you are willing to try them again, I think you'll be happy, the latest batch are the easiest to build yet...

I had some experience with the RSD V1's on a TC6 and hated them. The clips were always popping off and then everything would come apart. That was at least 2 years ago. Bought some of the latest version for my Xray this last fall for mod and had zero issues with them. I put the 2mm Xray ones in another car for 17.5 and had zero issues with them as well. And I've hit a ton of stuff with no broken parts.
I find nothing wrong with the Xray ones. But I also find nothing wrong with the RSD ones at half the cost. When I build the new car this fall, I will get either the RSD or possibly the Roche.

I have the Xray DCJs and I've had the same one lose a set screw twice, chewing up my caster hub with the pin (though the pin stayed partially in, so I didn't lose it at least). A few days ago I pulled both DCJs out, motor sprayed the crap out of all the parts, used a good amount of loctite on all the set screws, let them sit, and finally lubed them before installation. I'm hoping this time they'll hold. The other one was always fine, just one of them was giving me trouble.
