Hey folks... This thread is a little off topic, but I have to start somewhere. "R/C for Kids" is a Pepsi Refresh Project idea that we are trying to win a grant for. We want to take an R/C racing program to children's hospitals and to special needs camps (along with some other things). We need votes from every R/C hobbyist out there. It's easy to register and vote. You can vote once a day – each day of September. Please register and vote for us at – world wide web (period) refresheverything (period)com/rcforkids. (Since I'm a newbie here, I can't post www's , but I know you can figure out the website I just spelled out. . You must be a resident of the U.S. and 13 years and older to vote.

Please folks, we want to share our hobby with some very deserving kids. It only takes a little bit of time to help so many.

Be patient...the folks on the forum are pretty darned good about helping. I asked for equipment donations for a Boy Scout program awhile back and got a good bunch of support. It takes a little time. Keep posting so this stays near the top. This forum is huge and your post will be 5 pages back before you know it.

Thanks Lightfoot ! We're doing this because we love R/C AND kids. I think if all of the members on this message board will give it a try – it'll prove to be the easiest thing they've ever done – to help so many deserving kids – while introducing many new people to R/C.

AND the beauty is... Pepsi will pay for it all, if we can get our idea in the top 10 for the month of September!
