Because I have two each of all three sanding disks included with the whatjamacallit, I do know that their specified 320, 600 and 1000 grit papers do not match typical US measurement standards (by the square inch). Their grit numbers are far finer than what I recognize as ours. I assume that they do not go by the US inch in specifying such; so, I am guessing they use a square centimeter. In essence, I would double their grit numbers of 320, 600 and 1000 (per sq cm) to equate to ours as about 640, 1200 and 2000 (per sq inch). Their 320 grit disk is the only usable one per my diff sanding needs.

It seems like a ton of cash for something you can do with a piece of glass, a bit of sandpaper and an old outdrive to hold the diff ring.
It does look pretty kewl.

After having done four diff rings, I can say that it does a very good job...on good rings.

Also helped me identify that one of those four rings was a reject because its surface was too uneven.
