It is understandable that people want a better car after 3 to 4 yrs with the old one, but to be honest Mugen doesn't need to hurry while their MTX4R is so competitive even pair with the latest model from other brand.

You know how the r/c manufacturers have the r/c community conditioned: you have to have the latest/greatest regardless of how well/successful your current gear performs. My MTX-4 (not R) with a couple of performance upgrades is very competitive with the NT1s, 733s, and V-One-RRRs (fill in the blank for version) in my area. When I don't do well, it is more about my driving than it is the car. When you make mistakes, break, flame-out, etc during a race, it doesn't matter what car you have.

I'm the only driver (in my hometrack) who still race original mtx4 and mtx3 prospec !!!

Very exciting, I am going to start the tear down of my MTX4R in preparation of the upcoming racing season. I will be rebuilding every part of the car and am wondering what shock oils people have been having luck with on a medium grip set up? I am looking to go with 400 wt oil on this rebuild as last season I was running the stock 600 wt. Also I will be making my order very soon for my tires and am leaning toward the Twister tires for the price and responses I have been reading about people liking how they perform.

To give a small bit of info, my car is more Kawahara then Mugen LOL. I have the 4mm Kawahara Chassis and all Kawahara chssis braces and belt shaft holders. I have the Teflon brake pads (highly recommend) and Yeah Racing pulleys.
