I wonder why you stripped gears with the new mount? I noticed an improvemnt with gear mesh and no spur wobble after I put mine on.
BTW looks like HPI's forum is no longer. They now have links to other forums and are installing a new FAQ system for answering questions.

I've tried changing rear bulkhead supports too. I tried the new HPI 2mm rear bulkhead support..still stripped. Then tried Penguin graphite supports...less stripping.. changed spur gear adapter to Square... problem gone...
No more HPI forum...that sucks!
BTW..that FAQ has been there for awhile aready...
I guess we can always invade the Euro site...

rc-zombies: Tobee Craft makes purple aluminum spur hubs too!!! i used it before i got my Cross pulley. now i am using the cross pulley with the Tobee Craft purple aluminum spur plate on the outside.

Hpis website has one I think. Or you can try Thad's setup up for high bite aspuhlt as a starting point. I will try to find one.
here we go:
Jean-Marc's Modified Carpet Setup:
12/10/99 - 12/12/99
Front:
40 wt oil, #4 pistons, 65mm total length
Yellow Progressive springs, modified shock positions to lay down shocks (extra lower hole drilled between A position and hinge pin hole, top of shock mounted in #7 hole)
1 degree negative camber, 8 degrees caster, 2 degrees kick-up
Toe-in: 0 degrees
Turnbuckle link in stock position (U-2)
Spec M1 tires with firm inserts, CA glue on outside sidewall (to reduce steering)
Ride Height 5.5mm
189mm total width
Rear:
35 wt oil, #3 pistons, 66mm total length
Yellow Progressive springs, modified shock positions to lay down shocks (extra lower hole drilled between A position and hinge pin hole, top of shock mounted in #2 hole)
1 degree negative camber, 2 degrees toe-in

Thank you, thank you ,thank you for the detailed setup. I will try the setup and seehow my ride handles to the changes. One more question if you don't mind, in your opinion, should i run the the car full time 4WD, full time one way, centre one way or just front one way? I hope i'm not too much of a bother but i would really like to do well in my next race
P.S. THad's setup calls for some really advance procedure like drilling holes on the arm, can i do without?

I went from the graphite moulded tub chassis to the HB carbon fiber plate chassis. A HB upper deck was fitted in both cases.
I found the following with the Plate Chassis:
1. Car is more flexible with the HB chassis and upper deck combo compared to the HPI moulded graphite and HB upper deck.
2. Electrics are exposed to T-Bones and are easy to knock loose.
3. Had glitching problem with servos? Never experienced before with other makes of chassis.
I have since gone back to the HPI moulded graphite chassis. The plate chassis looks nice and is lighter but is not really practicle for street bashing or club racing.

Thad...what's going on with the HPI usa forum...?
Kai and HB chassis about the same in performance.
I have the new HPI graphite chassis plate and upperdeck combo, graphite arms and C-blocks..I'll have to agree with Thad..handling is much improved and precise. Virtually no flex at all.
