what are people using mostly for 1/8 nitro on road racing? Byrons? O'Donnells? 20 or 30% ?

My preference is Byrons Gen II 30%. As long as you are not using Blue Thunder, Traxxas, or airplane fuels, most of the fuels that the top racers use will fit your needs. Power Master is becoming a big fuel player at many races I attended this year.

thanks guys. I'm asking because this RC class is new to me after alot of offroad. I really appreciate the technicality of the 1/8 on road set ups and racing. Im basically getting geared up for spring to start racing every week. not looking to really win just to have fun and learn and go very very fast. cheers!

Kosmic 25% provides the best mileage and fuel quality that I have found.

Byrons is superb. I run 25% race blend. The pro blend at 9% oil is a bit low on lube but the car flies!!!!

Never had a positive experience with byrons. I prefer Kosmic for onroad.

Byrons has been around for many years. In my 30 years for racing r/c cars there have been many fuel makers come and go ,some good some bad.
I have run Byron,s for many years .Most race fuels now have 9% oil,so you have to watch the tune.

Kosmic and Power Master also have a good track record and i think are here to stay.

Boy you nailed that one. I have chased fuels (that means I tried everything under the sun) 2 times and ended up rite back where I started, Byrons. I have not ran Kosmic or Power Master. I have not seen anybody blowing engines or spending a weekend chasing a tune with these fuels and have heard no complaints about the engines rusting up over night. On track performance is definitely there! They are on a list of things to test this summer or when Nugget stops playing with his new toy car and has a club race

my first choice would be Kosmic 25% we don't add anything to it, just run like it comes out of the bottle, second choice Byron's 25% (9%oil) with 60cc of novarossi oil added per gal.

On the sedan side I ran 16% Powermaster all year. Excellant run time, held a good tune. But Byrons 16% delivered more power all around with slightly less runtime. I'm either going with Byrons or I might try Kosmic; if I can get a steady supply.
