Default How do you organize you RC Parts?

As anybody who is into RC, you can't really help but acquire parts, expensive hop-ups, gears, shocks, motors, Ti screws, tools, etc.

With so many parts, may I ask how do you guys organize them and keep them handy when you need them.

I was thinking of this: http://www.planomolding.com/fishing/...em/797010.html

How about the others? Can you please share how you did it?

Thanks and regards!

*Please excuse the typo of my title. I meant "your" instead if "you"

I would buy the 1350, it's 21 bucks. I have 2 of them with a bunch of spare boxes. When I head to the track I can load it with the spare box I need. Get yourself a dymo label writer turbo with the .5 labels and some small baggies and label away. I will attach a photo later.

Those are cool!!!! I try to always pack as if I am flying to a big event. I used to carry alot of stuff to my local track, then when I started travelling, I was completely lost as to what to take and what to leave. So I use the small/medium plano boxes and put them in bag thats durable for travelling. So whether its local or a big event, I have a pit setup that works anywhere.

I take everything I use and lay it out.........make piles .....separating by tools, shock stuff, drivetrain, tires..etc.

Then I know how much space i need.......the clear tackle boxes are great, smaller clear boxes to go inside the main box is good also, clear medicine bottles are great for screws and pinions.

Ah yes... That is also a smart idea! Small parts will be secure because it's sealed!

Very inspiring. I guess one doesn't need to clamor for parts anymore with that kind of setup.

If this question is for me, I put my RC tires in a sandwich bag and store them together in small totes.

Currently, I am reaching that point wherein it's beginning to get difficylt to classify my parts. I have had good suggestions here so far.

it's a general question for everybody. I also use zip bags , but i'm looking for an idea to put all my TC and F1 tires in a same box maybe.

If you guys are ever going to fly to an event, pack all your parts in transparent containers. A guy in vegas packed everything in black film tubes and when he opened his bag everything was placed in 1 nice big ziplock bag for him.

The label maker is a winner, one time buy no ink, only expense is labels. Here's a acrylic and carbon fiber base spring holder.

That Plano is what I use, each chassis gets its own box for parts so I can carry parts for two cars and use the third box for tools, the smaller box that slips into side gets misc parts that are used on multiple cars. I left one smaller box out and use the compartment for traction fluids, brush, rag, tape...In the top I have my charger and power supply. It works well, real happy with the purchase.
