Default Help With Battery Selection

I'm a noob, getting back into RC.

I need 2-3 new 4S LiPos for racing. I am on a budget and looking at the 3 options: Gens Ace 5000 @ 40c; Venom 5000 @ 35c; SMC 5200 @ 50c.

Any thoughts on those? I any help would be GREAT!!!

Anyone have good luck with Gens Ace or Venom packs? Are the 40c GA and 35c Venoms comparable?

Nothing wrong with the Gen Ace packs have used a few myself ... might also look into the sky lipo brand ... unless you need hardcase roar approved

Yes...I'm looking for hardcase. Is there much performance difference between the $90 Venom 35c and their $125 50c packs? I've heard that more than 35c is not really noticeable on the track....is this true?

Nathans -
For 98% of the people out there, save your money and buy the $90 35C pack. You save weight...and $$.

If you really have it geared up to pull a lot of power in bursts, then yes, the 50C pack may be more worth it.

Remember, all Venom Batteries come with our Lifetime Battery Replacement Plan, and we have a customer service department should you ever need to use that warranty.
