Hooked up with a 4S Lipo with Deans connectors and adjust voltage from there. Neal loves this one and it does work awesome but you have the wires to deal with...

I like this one because you can fit newer nimh batteries in it that are slightly larger than the cheesy 1200 batteries that come in most ignitors.


I use a 4600 intellect battery and it never dies....

My super Hot Shot has never failed me. any glow ignitor that you you dont charge will fail at some point. Remember to charge them and they should work just fine.

I have tried almost every glow driver on the market.... The OFNA cable unit is #1 in my book...... Never, ever fails, and the temp can be adjusted perfectly to each plug...... I can run it off any 12-14v source.....

But its seems it would be a pain in the butt lugging around that cable unit and a 12v power source to the pit area?

banana plugs into the side of the starter box......run it right off the lipo...the cables are a little more hassle, but nowhere near the hassle of fighting a weak ignition source....No hand held glow ignitor will have the available juice this OFNA unit can deliver.....Comes in very handy when running colder plugs or running in a colder climate.......

starter box battery would be safice.

Seems it would still be a pain but to each his own.

It just seems like those cables would get in the way. Especially when you're rushing to get someone fired back up due to flame out.

I guess I cant knock it till I try it. Ive personally never seen anyone use one other then when there at there work bench.
