what is happening to the plugs ?

is possible email me a picture of the glowplug coil as well as the top of the piston....

to answer your question the TKO bearings work very well, unfortunately tho they fit almost too tight onto the crankshaft..Which can make removal of the crank troublesome down the road.... I have seen a couple where the bearing almost seizes onto the crank and makes removing the crank without removing the bearing impossible...Now I have only seen this happen several times, but it is something to be aware of IMO...

you would have a black friday sale, and i just received my picco .28. ugh, i could have saved some money if i would have just bought the motor direct from you with this sale, rather then have it sent off to be modded.

ahh...

Sounds like you are fouling your glowplugs, and your ignitor is not strong enough to burn the contamination off.......This is especially true for the #6 plugs as they use a thicker element wire and tend to require more juice to burn hot.....I have seen many guys throw away perfectly good glowplugs just because their ignitor was not strong enough for the #6 plugs......Types of fuel and how rich the engine is being run will all affect how clean the glowplug element stays....the dirtier the element the more juice it requires to glow... run rich for too long and you will foul the plugs...

I stick with the factory bearings...I did use some ready rollers and they were good, the TKO were also good, except being too tight...and right now I am not sure who else carries bearings in that size....Boca has bearings for these engines I believe....

I do...however if you would like one without filler I can do that....no filler gives them slightly better mileage

I believe I have fallen victim to this situation more than one time!! What igniter do you recommend? Nova's and RB's seem real bad. O"Donell do not seem to be effected as bad. I actually switched to T97's and T77's beause the motor was hard to start! I thought it was bad plugs.

Sometimes I feel there's no good igniter n they all stop working at random horrible times, so this answered by Neal is gonna be valuable....
