My fear is that Interclub rivalry will be dispersed by watching meaningless SCT and there will be SCT's every 2nd race. Interclub from what I've experienced brings together racers under a club banner. Its gets them talking and sitting together which they might not normally do which is great for everyone. The most cheering you see in a season is at the interclub and its my favourite event because of this (other than vintage)

If you introduce a whole pile of SCT you are seperating the racers again. Sure its fun but its not interclub racing and its going to distract from the event and the bringing together of the teams. As a suggestion how about running the SCT at the end (sorry if thats the existing plan) or limiting SCT numbers.

Ok, first we had somebody saying we need to have SCT at interclub but adding another class to the points counting classes would have disadvanaged the smaller clubs by more, its hard enough to get drivers from each club to make it a fair fight as it is with out spreading them thinner further.

I guess you are going to boycot this meeting just like you did for the Coleman Cup, great way to show repect to everybody that knew and remembered Brendan, and if anyone is wondering why Shane boycotted that event, it was the change of date that was his problem and it was to a date that Knox already had for their Knox cup, and why the change? their new drivers stand was not finish yet!
Does no body remember when Keilor was without a drivers stand and it was long time Knox members that helped them get back on their feet again by becoming Keilor members and racing their club days to boost numbers.
For someone that thinks they know it all , you know jack.........

I'd suggest you get your facts right........and I'll race what I want , when and wherever I want. And not be dictated to by brain-dead individuals like yourself........

And if I choose to run at Keilor exclusively then so be it........

ok how bout we get back to the event itself. there is no point in arguing amongst each other over something that is not going to cange this event. short course is going to be run at the event as a non point scoring class and that is it. weather or not it should or not should be left to orrca. if you want a say at these meetings join the committee or make sure your club representative takes the opinion of your respective clubs and make your voices heard that way. bitching over how long a day is going to be extended by or thinning of class numbers and everything else that you are all complaining about on here is not going to cange anybody's mind. i realise you all say this is a public forum and this is what it is designed for and i do agree, however this particular thread is for the orrca shield held in wodonga. If you want to debate the viability of running sct in any way shape or form the get off this thread and go and start one dedicated to the sct debate.

The only question i have is can Mildura field a strong enough team to beat us on our home track?

Wouldn't you know it, I give the car I am running at the shield a run and it looks like I have broken it. Now I have to rush and try to get parts and fixed in a week.
