Team Associated SC18....

Just got one of these from a fellow member on here and I absolutely love it so far!
With that being said I've got a few questions:
It came with a stock servo along with a hitec servo but the servo saver doesn't seem to fit the hitec, I saw that you could purchase a servo saver kit from associated that includes several different sizes, would one of these fit the hitec?
Does anybody make an aluminum steering link for these? As in the part that actually connects the servo to the steering link.
What seems to be the best brushless setup for this truck? I put my tekin mini rage system in with a 5400 motor and it gets HOT! I plan on running a 2s lipo in my truck, I just want a nice setup that ill be able to bash several packs through at a time and not have to worry about overheating. I don't plan on racing this truck, ill mainly be running on the street outside my house and I may eventually try to build a little course in my basement for my buddies and I to play around on.
Any and all comments are appreciated. Thanks guys.

Hello guys,
I am racing with 18R stock class on carpet (LRP foam tires), but we can change everything except steering servo, motor and ESC (Stock AE), so we can change chassis.
What do you think about the SC18 chassis with carpet setup?, you think can be faster than 18R?
Thanks for your comments...
Regards

Hey guys. I just won a SC18 Brushless RTR at the Short Course Showdown at Mike's in Carrolton. I don't know anything about the truck and I've only driven it once. I don't like the stock battery, so I'm curious what kind of LiPo I should get for it. I'm not trying to get serious into it. I'm just wanting to play with it for a while. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Awesome. Thanks alot. How much did the Venom pack cost? I found some cheap GenzAce and Sky Lipo batteries that might fit but I havent checked the measurments yet. 5000mah I think 20c. They were around $7 but they could be junk so I'm hesitant to buy.

Here's a bump for this thread! Me and a few of the local racers here figured our SC18s do better on-road, than off. Here's what mine looks like now:

Mod list is short, but the car is competitive with the other 1/18 and mini racers locally!

- Airtronics servo
- Hobbywing 25A ESC
- Toro 6200 brushless
- John's BSR foam tires
- McAllister 1/18 Corvette body
- FlySky 2.4 GHz Rx/Tx
- SkyLipo 20C 1800 mAh 2S battery

And with an Exotek GT-Z body:
I am now running a Savox servo, new front diff case, Mamba Micro Pro/5400, and a 2 cell Lipo. I switch back from the stock R tires to 3Racing tires and even the foams. Best all around tire is the stock R tires with some sauce.

Thanks! There are a couple from McAllister (the 'vette above and a COT stock car body, I think). A bunch of the guys at my track run the Exotek 350Z like Monkey-1's. One guy is using the Associated Nightline body, but cut the rear wheel wells further back. I have a BRP COT stock car body and it's way too small.
