Default clutch problems

Hi Everyone have finished building the v10 /11 with a rb concept rc11 engine
my problem is that the clutch won't engage. I have setup the clutch as per book with the necessary adjustments but the clutch just doesn't want to work.
any help would be great or if any one in Sydney Australia who has one can you send me a PM
Thanks Nigel

It should work... either the gap is too large or the spring tension is too much. I setup one in hurry on the TM at the nats and was way too tight and it didnt engage. So I backed it right off.

The gap should be somewhere in the order of .6mm and you could loosen the tensioner nut to the end of the thread and start from there.

Hello,
I normally set my gap between .45 and .55. I start with the clutch nut @ .35 and normally end up around .40

Hi guys,

Does anyone still have the link or know the difference between v8 2009 and 2010 ed.? Got a good deal in singapore for nib v8 2010 but the box sticker shows 2009,so just like to confirm if its really a 2010 edition.

Thanks

Ashford hobbies,A Main Hobbies. Victory Lane hobbies,Murnan Modified Motors, and Raceday hobbies. They are all very competitive with the price and you will get a good deal.

Ashford Hobbies has a 2010 V8 left in stick for 499. And it is a real 2010 model.

Hey guys, I posted in the for sale section as well, but thought that I would throw this out there in here since everyone on this thread seems to like the Shepherds..... I'm selling my '09 roller (or with servos for the right price). See here: '09 Shepherd Velox V8 Roller

I really need to sell this, please help if you can.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the replys the clutch is now working I narrowed the gap between the clutch shoe and bell housing and also have backed the adjusting nut nearly to the end of the thread, I also reduced the end play on the shaft. Now for fine tuning, once again thanks

Two A-123 Systems Life 1100 maH cells are a tight fit, but the are really robust and last for 90 minutes easy...
