Who has a good variety of mini bodyshells. Looking for touring car style one like the honda. Doesnt have to in the UK but it would be cool if there was one.

Have a look at teambluegroove 's shop on ebay. If nothing on there takes your fancy Pit bitz normally has Spice and Blitz mini TC shells in stock.

Try Speedtech, they stock the R1 Wurks ceramic diff balls. i've been using these for quite awhile now with no problems. Cheap is not always good. Sometimes it's just cheap. I've also had good luck with the stuff from Acer racing.

Have seen a few posts on cheap servos and just don't understand why some people insist on using cheap servos. Over the years, Ive helped a lot of racers with their Minis and have seen too many problems with the cheapies.

Put a futaba s9402 in there, and you're done !!!!

Which servo are you using on your mini?

I would look out for a used savox 1251, 1257, or 1258. They can be had for around $45-50 bucks used, or around 60-69 bucks new.. They have titanium gears and work really good. I use the 1251 in my minis and they are PLENTY fast. Speedtech has the hookup on the ceramic diffballs and servos. They know their stuff, and will lead you in the right direction.

I'm quite familiar with the SAVOX servos. In fact, I use the 1258TG on my SC10 4x4. I just wanted to know what Grandpa uses, since I never really had a chance to take a peak at his mini(s) at Tamiya track.

Virtually every single car in the rc-mini fleet (and thats a LOT of cars) has a Savox 1251 in it.

That pretty much says it all.

Some of my servos are pretty old and have given me years of good service. Presently I have JR 4800s and the JR 9100s in the cars I race. Also just installed a KO 2512 in my newest Mini. The KO servo is not as fast as the JR's, but I usually turn down the servo speed any way so decided to go with the slower and less expensive KO. Also it's installed in a M05M. This is a first for me cause I'm very partial to the JR servos. We'll see how it holds up to my "rough" driving.

My other cars all have JR servos, but they are much older and have been discontinued for quite awhile now. There may be better servos than the JR and KO, but I've been using them for 20 or so years and found them to be the most reliable and the best "centering" on the market.

What is a decent motor for a M-05Pro? Can the gearbox handle a 13.5T or will it fry the gears?

It's not just the motor it's how many amps you push into it and how you gear it. I've been running mine with the ezrun 35amp and 9t motor on an 18 pinion for weeks now an no probs. Got it cranked up as well

I've a Speedpassion Cirtix Club Race and a GM Sport 13.5T left from my F104. So I'm thinking about putting that in the car. Is it a good choice?

If your club allows open esc and motor rules why not. Just don't turn it up too much to start with and have a spare gear set to hand. Lol
